Services We Offer
Diagnostics
Through various physical and neurological examinations, we can uncover the root cause of the problem. We look for injuries to the spine and joints, muscle weakness, posture misalignments, and brain trauma.
Sometimes more in-depth diagnostics may be required. We can incorporate MRIs and digital x-rays to get a clear visualization of your injury.
Many people don’t realize that auto injury symptoms are often latent; they can take days or even weeks to begin to manifest. That’s why it’s important to see an Ocala auto injury doctor immediately following an accident, even if you aren’t noticing symptoms right away.
The sooner the problem is diagnosed, the faster and more efficient the recovery process will be.
Treatment
Chiropractic adjustments are effective in both the short and long term. Many of our patients experience immediate relief from pain and increased mobility following an adjustment. With on-going treatment, patients benefit from improved functionality, reduced inflammation, consistent spinal cord re-alignment, and reduced pressure on nerves.
Our Ocala chiropractic care is often combined with physiotherapy, a treatment modality that focuses on the restoration of functionality, mobility, and physical strength.
Physiotherapy incorporates various stretches and strengthening exercises to increase blood flow and strengthen the muscles (specifically those surrounding the spine).
We tailor our services to each individual patient depending on his or her condition and needs. With specialized chiropractic care and physiotherapy, our patients can expect noticeable and long-lasting results.
Bracing
Our bracing equipment helps stabilize and support injured muscles and joints, improves blood flow, and provides the extra support you need to heal and prevent re-injury. The bracing material is comfortable and fits easily underneath clothing.
What Does a Chiropractic Adjustment Feel Like?
While suffering from an auto accident injury, it’s perfectly understandable to wonder what chiropractic treatment will feel like. Will it put more pressure on the damaged area? Will it hurt like having a bone set back in place? Will I feel anything at all?
Put the fear of pain out of your mind. Proper chiropractic adjustments don’t hurt. They are safe, effective, and the immediate result tends to be immediate relief from pain.
Other sensations you may feel are pressure and some slight tension. Depending on your level of inflammation, there may be some initial discomfort, but it isn’t something that would be described as “painful”.
You are likely to hear some popping sounds as well. This is perfectly normal and does not in any way indicate that damage is being done to your bones, muscles, or joints. The popping sound you hear is the release of gas from the fluid inside your joints. This is perfectly normal and healthy.
Some patients, however, don’t hear any popping sounds. Does this indicate the adjustment wasn’t effective? Not at all. A chiropractic adjustment can be completely silent and the adjustment will still have had the effect of aligning joints in the spine, taking pressure off various nerves and reducing inflammation.
Following an adjustment from one of our Ocala chiropractors, you are likely to experience significant relief from pain, as well as improved mental clarity, physical mobility, and an increase in energy.
Later on during the day, you may notice a sense of soreness like you’ve just finished a hard workout. That’s because, in a sense, you have. It can take a lot of work for the body’s muscles and tissues to get an adjustment adequate enough to help them recover from an auto accident.
People can also feel a sense of tiredness after a chiropractic adjustment, and some even describe it as a feeling like the onset of a flu. But don’t worry, it’s not a flu coming on. After an adjustment, your body is put back into its proper alignment, meaning toxins that have been building up are finally being released. At this time, it’s a good idea to drink plenty of water.
After an adjustment, all you have to do is enjoy your feelings of relief, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest - your body deserves it!
